One of the most-beloved traditions of the Christmas season is getting out all of the perennial holiday shows and movies and watching them throughout the month of December.

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is a children's story written by famed author Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. In keeping with his style, the book was written in rhymed verses and also used illustrations drawn by the author. The book tells the tale of the Grinch, a mean and grumpy creature who lives in isolation with his dog, Max. The Grinch wants nothing more than to put an end to Christmas. 

The night before Christmas, he decides to dress up as Santa Claus and to steal all of the presents (and decorations) from the town of Whoville. Despite his efforts, the townspeople still celebrate the holiday, and the Grinch later returns the gifts.
