Did you know that ABBA has sold more than 63 million records worldwide, and potentially as many as 150 million? That's in the same range as acts like Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Adele, U2 or Mariah Carey. That's a whole heck of a lot of albums. But it does make sense when you think about the fact that a Swedish disco band from the '70s could have such amazing success, because look at what they do. Even if you don't take into account the success of the films and musical versions of "Mamma Mia" there's the music itself. How can you not feel good when an ABBA song comes on? That was the whole point of ABBA. The music didn't need to be super complex or display incredible guitar riffs with blistering solos. It was just upbeat and peppy and easy to sing along with or dance to. It was disco music. It was fun. And if music isn't fun on some level it's doing something wrong. Luckily for ABBA, that was never an issue. Their music could be applied to just about any situation imaginable. Including your love life!
